if you're in the area...

Since I will probably need a c-section, chances are I'll be stuck in the hospital for a few days... A couple of you living nearby have expressed interest in visiting, so I will give you as much information as I can. The best thing to do is to check out the hospital's website: http://www.hopkinsbayview.org/ ... you can find all kinds of information on visiting hours, parking, etc.. Here is a map: http://maps.google.com/maps?tab=wl to help you find the place. It's all (unfortunately) paid parking, but that will give you an excuse to duck out when you start getting the hospital heebie jeebies (which I know at least one of you does!).

According to my doctor, I won't be going past 38 weeks, one way or another, so at least we don't have to worry about any Thanksgiving Day conflicts! Of course if I go into labor, don't expect me to be updating the blog, but if we have a scheduled c-section, I'll try to get the word out..

My best guess on when this will happen? I have a hunch we should keep an eye on the weather channel. I have this theory about women going into labor during storms when the air pressure is fluctuating one way or another.. Cindy and Sam will have to research this for me - with two weather weenies living under one roof, what else do they have to do?? :)

Thanks for reading, I'll post updates and info as I think of it.

Much love,
Colleen

a bit about us

We're currently a little family of three, Sean and I have been married for 5 years and we have a dog, Pearl, who is 8. But in just a few weeks we will be expanding our family by two new members, and we couldn't be more excited!

At the moment, we are living outside of Baltimore, Maryland, but soon we'll be moving overseas to Okinawa, Japan, where we will live for two years. It's a great country, but so far away from family and friends. Hopefully this wonderful invention called technology and the internet will enable us to stay close with those we will miss so much...

Here are a couple of photos to bring you up to date.

new blog...

Hey all,

We're starting this blog to make it easy to update you on our lives and to share photos with you without you having to download them... Within the next few weeks, we will post some stories and pictures about the coming additions to our little family. Hope you enjoy them and we'd love to hear your comments!

Lots of love to all,
Colleen, Sean, Pearly and babies...
