Vacation - part 5 (wildlife park)

One of our days in Sydney we took the girls to the Wildlife Park.. They mostly liked the birds and butterflys, because they could see lots of movement.. here are some of the highlights:

Living in Japan, I'm used to seeing interesting things come out of vending machines, but I have to say this was a first for me!

Vacation - part 4 (Bondi Beach)

We took the bus out to Bondi Beach one of our days in Sydney, and though it was quite chilly (low-mid 60s), there were still quite a few people sunbathing and surfing... of course the surfers are smart enough to wear wetsuits! The beach was beautiful, and I can just imagine how crazy it must get in the summer months...



This is a great way to exercise your dog...

This wading pool is filled by the tide... I was a bit taken aback by the little naked boy swimming - it was way too cold for that! Shame on his mom....

vacation - part 3

Well, it's pretty obvious where this photo was taken... our next leg of the journey took us to Sydney, Australia. It was chilly there (being early spring down under) but beautiful!

an interesting angle - I never realized there were 2 of these peaks.. all the postcards/photos always show the perspective of the first photo... I think there are a total of 7 different stages inside the building too - we took the tour, I just don't remember all the details.
